UFC 305 Update

UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards has responded to Belal Muhammad’s claims that he is going to knock him out at UFC 304.

On 27 July 2024, Leon Edwards will defend his UFC Welterweight Championship against Belal Muhammad. This served as the biggest opportunity in his later career, as he finally got a crack at the strap. Edwards, meanwhile, would attempt to successfully defend the whip for a third time.

The two men had met before, eyeballing Muhammad bringing the contest to a premature end. Since then, he’s been hungry to hit it off again with ‘Rocky’, and you can understand why.

Recently, Belal stated that he believes he has what it takes to knock off Edwards. As you can imagine, Champ heard that message and responded in a recent interview.

Edwards questioned Muhammad

“Confused, he talks a lot, so make sure you can back it up,” Edwards told Red Corner MMA. “As I said, he has been locked up for over a year. The way he talks makes it sound like he won the first fight, so a bit confused. But like I said, he has to be ready. It’s going to be a long, hard, hard fight for him in Manchester.”

“Like I said, the fight, Round 1 went my way comfortably,” Edwards said. “I was just starting out, and then the eye poke happened. Obviously hurt him in the first round. I think he will be too slow for me. Too slow, too predictable, too flat footed. So, let’s see.”
