On Saturday, May 10, the UFC will return to Montreal, Canada for another big event. UFC 315 will be which marks the long-awaited return to the Octagon of welterweight champion Belal Muhammad faches Della Maddalena and seemingly eternal women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko.
In the main event of UFC 315, Belal Muhammad defended his welterweight strap against Della Maddalena. Muhammad was originally scheduled to face undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov in the main event of UFC 310, but a blow knocked him out of the bout and Rakhmonov himself was injured, forcing Maddalena to step into the ring.
In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko defended her women’s flyweight title against Manon Fiorot. Already a Hall of Famer, Shevchenko regained her featherweight title with a dominant decision win in her trilogy bout with Alexa Grasso at UFC 306. Now “Bullet” begins the second title reign of her illustrious career against the older Fiorote, who has won seven straight since joining the UFC.
In addition to the two top fights in the UFC event also revealed the rest of the main card for UFC 315 at past weekend’s UFC 314 event. In the evening’s feature bout, featherweight GOAT Jose Aldo will face rising contender Ayman Zahabi in a top-15 ranked bantamweight bout.
Also former women’s flyweight champion and No. 1 ranked Alexa Grasso will return for the first time since losing her title to Shevchenko, when she faces No. 5 ranked Natalya Silva on the main card. And in the main card opener, the always exciting Benoit St. Denis will face Joel Alvarez.
When is the UFC 315 Fight?
UFC 315 will air live on Saturday, May 10, from the Bell Centre In Montréal, Québec, Canada. The pay-per-view event will begin at 8pm ET / 5pm PT with preliminaries and the main card at 10pm ET / 7pm PT, airing exclusively on ESPN Plus.
