Derrick Lewis (18-10 UFC, 27-12 MMA), a two-time heavyweight title challenger, is in the toughest stretch of his career. The Houston native has dropped four of his past five, including three straight stoppages at one point. Still, the 39-year-old is one of the most popular fighters on the roster and holds the UFC record for career knockouts with 14.
Nascimento (4-1 UFC, 11-1 MMA), a 31-year-old from Brazil, is on a different current trajectory than Lewis. After a TKO victory over Alan Baudot nearly two years ago, Nascimento has three straight decisions over Tanner Bowser, Illy Latifi, and Don’Tale Mayes. But Lewis will be his biggest test.
